Everyone remembers their first taste of monopoly, plenty of cash and hotels changing hands, arguments over potential cheating, those days could be about to change with a new release of the popular board game.
Monopoly “Voice Banking” is the latest edition in the series and it is 100% cashless, with no one taking on the role of a banker, instead a digital banker will keep track of everything.
As we move towards a cashless society in real life, it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that Hasbro, makers of the Monopoly board game series, have embraced the change in their latest edition.
The new game follows the same traditional monopoly rules, but instead of a normal banker being chosen out of the players, this new cashless game uses a voice-controlled artificial intelligent financier instead.
The AI banker not only keeps track of everyone’s finances, pays rents, draws chance cards, and sends people to jail, but also makes sure no one is cheating with their hands in the bank vault.
The change was implemented to finally bring and end to the incessant cheating most games endure and also speed the game up.
The new monopoly voice banking is priced at £20 and available to buy in-store and online at Argos.
