The UK’s leading garden centre is joining the fight against plastic waste with a fab new return service for unused pots and trays.
Dobbies Garden Centre have recently unveiled a new green living initiative aimed at slowing down the increased environmental danger caused by plastic waste with a new service that recycles plant pots and trays that are no longer being used.
The gardening experts, who already offer sustainable planting alternatives, are aiming to turn everyday gardening habits into 100 per cent eco-friendly with a simple new recycling service.
The new Dobbies plastic recycling initiative is encouraging customers to drop off any sized and coloured old plastic plant pots and trays – hoping to avoid them clogging up landfills around the country causing untold environmental damage.
The only thing green fingered eco-warriors need to do to take advantage of the service is rinse their pots and trays, then take the cleaned plastic containers to a local Dobbies Garden Centre for recycling.
The initiative is, unfortunately, limited to just plastic pots and trays, polystyrene alternatives are currently no being accepted to be recycled.
