According to Chief Product Officer of Sofa.com, Vanessa Hurley-Perera, AW19 is all about the details.

“One of the biggest trends at the moment is fluting, which has been reimagined for 2019″ she says.

“It lends itself to elegant pieces such as our new Albie sofa, with wide flutes for a modern, yet slightly Deco aesthetic. Fluted designs look especially spectacular in velvets, allowing the curves of the flutes to really catch the light.”

Vibrant colours – Swoon

According to sales data collected by Swoon, buyers are taking an increased interest in sofas that display more varied, daring and contemporary taste within their sofa offering.

Swoon’s Head of Design, Sam Baldry said: “It’s interesting to see the decline in what has been our staple colour option for so long.

This really shows that people are getting more adventurous in their tastes – a sofa is a pretty central part to any living space, and to opt for bright colours shows we have come a long way in terms of personal style and home decor”.
