Never content with current sound systems, Bang & Olufsen are collaborating with Benjamin Hubert to create the Beosound Blance collection.
The Danish sound experts, famous for creating distinctive and artistic sound systems, are teaming up with Hubert, head of design studio Layer, to create a highly stylised wireless speaker which offers a raw, high-performance sound.
The new collection is B&O’s latest attempt to fuse art with furniture.
The sound system has been designed to be placed in the middle of the room, on the floor or shelf.
The Beosound Balance delivers carefully controlled beams of sound for a clear acoustic experience from the front and rich sound enhancement at the back. The result is an impressively unique acoustic experience relative to the speakers size.
The speaker uses unique touch technology to turn on and off, includes Bluetooth connectivity, and can be paired with Google Assistant.
After a rigorous design process, the speakers comes as two stacked cylinders that combine solid oak, in two shades – stained or natural – with an aluminium grill featuring a Fibonacci pattern for acoustic transparency, and blended knitted fabric covers.
Owners are left with an object that resembles a piece of modern art, instead of a state-of-the-art speaker system.
