If you love nothing more than getting your forty winks, then you might be the perfect candidate for a new luxury bed tester job.

Advertised by luxury homeware brand Olivia’s, the job is looking to pay £60 an hour to test out a range of beds.

The job title is called a Comfort Connoisseur and the requirement of the role is to provide feedback on the experience of sleeping in each of the beds, which are delivered to the right candidate’s home.

Responsibilities of the role include completing a scorecard for each bed slept in, and judging the item on its comfort, size, aesthetic and durability.

The lucky bed tester must review two beds a month and provide written feedback on their experience.

Candidates looking to apply to the job don’t need any previous experience, but must be over 18 years old and be able to accept deliveries.

Good writing skills and a “self starter with impeccable taste and an eye for detail” are indicated to be important.

The role also requires ample space, such as a spare bedroom, to allow beds to be assembled, as well as an outdoor area for the daybeds.

In order to be considered for the role, you need to have no sleep conditions, such as sleep apnoea.

Nick Moutter, founder of Olivia’s, said, “From the very beginning my vision for Olivia’s has been centred around offering our customers the best possible experience, which is why we invest so heavily in the customer journey.

“This idea has shaped our direction for many years, even leading us to purchase our own white glove courier service to cut down on transit breakages, and this role is our most recent step towards delivering a flawless customer experience.

“At Olivia’s we have a genuine passion not just for quality, but also for fashion, and this is why finding someone with an eye for detail and aesthetics is so important.

“Anybody can lie on a bed and sleep, we want someone who can analyse the experience and provide detailed feedback that will serve our community of interior-obsessed customers.”

You can apply for the job, which closes on May 29, over on Olivia’s official website.
