During this uncertain time, it seems a new home shopping trend for care packages is emerging.
According to Etsy, there’s been a 60% increase in searches around the trend, with pocket hug gifts proving particularly popular.
A pocket hug is the sending of a small token through the mail that acts in place of a real hug. It can be a badge, a card or even a small hanging home accessory sent to cheer up our nearest and dearest in troubled times.
There’s even a ‘hug in a box’ concept featuring everything from a pair of paper hands to small cheerful home gifts including candles and trinkets.

There’s even sending your very own garden in a box, including creative ways with succulents, and the creation of ‘isolation gift sets’ complete with cheerful supplies.

If your friend prefers something with a stiff drink included inside, however, you could always opt for their very own gin spa in a box. The perfect detox!
