© IKEA

If you love nothing more than IKEA furniture but dread the build, good news is the retailer now has a furniture assembly service.

The brand has teamed up with service provider Task Rabbit to ensure getting baffled by instructions or building a dodgy wardrobe is a thing of the past.

It works by connecting you with “taskers”, skilled contractors that can help with everyday home projects, armed with the right tools and expertise to get the job done.

If you fear building an unstable cabinet that could end up in landfill a year down the line, this could be a great way to ensure a professional build to last.

IKEA is a major retailer signed up to the service, but it also has other DIY skills on offer including planting flowers, cleaning or even moving boxes.

You can book your assembly for as early as next day or up to 14 days in advance.

To use the service, you simply nip over to the Task Rabbit website or app and enter your postcode to check area coverage and book a slot.
