Evian is disrupting the way in which we drink water with the trial of an innovative water dispenser made with recycled plastic.
What’s notable about this innovation is not only its thin and light material, but also the fact that it comes with an app which tracks to notify when the water bottle needs to be refilled as well as the water intake of the consumer.
(re)new is an appliance that is good for the environment and also keeps your hydration in-check which is definitely a win-win.

The evian® (re)new in-home water appliance features a breakthrough collapsible 5L ‘bubble’ that contracts when the water is consumed, taking on a new shape after each use. 100% recyclable and made of a 100% recycled plastic (rPET) skin, this innovation is the latest move from evian® in its journey to become a circular brand by 2025. #evian #Liveyoung #evianrenew #Stayhydrated
This makes part of Evian’s initiative to reduce plastic use for their bottles and produce only bottles made of 100% recycled material by 2025. The skin of the dispenser is made using 66% less plastic than a standard 1.5 litre Evian bottle.
“At Evian we owe everything to nature and are committed to a healthy planet.” said Patricia Oliva, Evian’s global brand vice-president.
“This is why we’re challenging ourselves to reinvent new ways to provide Evian natural mineral water to consumers” she carried on.
The initiative is also backed by designer Virgil Abloh who acts as the creative advisor for sustainable innovative design for the water company.
“I’ve always been inspired by great design and how it can shape our lives, which is why I’m excited to see Evian pushing the boundaries with the design of this disruptive new product that will transform the way we drink Evian at home” said Abloh.
One thing is for sure and that’s that the response from the creative movement towards reducing plastic and following a vision towards sustainability looks promising.
