With restaurants, cafes, and bars all still closed or restricted due to the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown, those workers who would under normal circumstances be serving customers in these premises are currently not working, and in some cases not earning any money.
In an effort to help nourish restaurants while they are closed, losing earnings or struggling during the lockdown, all proceeds from the new cookbook will go to individual restaurant workers, non-profits who are helping restaurant workers, and towards zero-interest loans to help restaurants stay afloat.
The digital-only cookbook contains 50 easy recipes from a collection of Family Food and Drink authors and culinary masters from around the world.
Readers will be able to get an exclusive look at what famous chefs make when they are at home. Some of the recipes include the likes of mushroom bolognese, prawn and chorizo white bean stew and sweet dishes like chocolate chip olive oil cookies.
There is even a section helping to offer guidance on wine and drink pairings with certain foods and dishes.
The cookbook will be available to buy from 5 May from Amazon online.
The Family Meal coronavirus cookbook is priced at £4.49 and is available to pre-order from Amazon online.
