If you thought electrified transport was limited to just adults you’d be wrong as Harley-Davidson revealed a range of electric powered bikes just for kids.
The iconic motorbike specialists are putting down their hard-nosed, jumbo bike image and embracing the electric revolution with two balance bikes specially created for kids called IRONe, and we want one for ourselves.
The electric car and bike revolution is taking over the world as more and more people look to embrace an environmentally friendly way of traveling, and Harley Davidson do not want to be left behind.
The motorbike brand also wants to get their bikes in the hands of younger riders, and hope their new electrified balance alternatives helps to encourage a new generation of easy riders.
The two options come in the form of the IRONe12, which has been designed for children aged 3 – 5 years old, and the IRONe16 is for ages between 5 and 7.
The bikes come equipped with customised lithium batteries, which on full charge can let riders hit the roads for 30 to 60 minutes depending on how fast they are cruising, and it takes just 60 minutes to fully charge.
Little Harley lovers will sit in comfortable ultra-low, adjustable seating that allows rider’s feet to be easily planted on the ground if they lose their balance.
The bikes weigh 17lbs for the IRONe12 and 19 lbs for the IRON16e, and can reach speeds of between 5 MPH and 9 MPH.
Prices for the harley davidson electric kids bikes begin at £600, with additional delivery costs to be added, and can be bought from local Harley-Davidson retailers.
