Set in a fairytale land, the heartwarming advert depicts the story of a little girl called Ava and a friendship she develops with an enchanting dragon, named Edgar, who simply loves Christmas.
The fun, heartwarming and beautifully created ad follows the pair as Edgar keeps inadvertently burning festive decorations and activities by breathing fire.
After destroying more and more Christmas activities, Edgar shut himself away, until Ava shows the perfect way just how much she cares about him and how his fire-breathing habits can help Christmas.
To accompany the fabulously festive advert, John Lewis and Waitrose are selling an Edgar kit for Christmas.
The excitable Edgar range includes plush toys, books, wellington boots, slippers and glow in the dark pyjamas.
The full collection is available to be seen at John Lewis online.
