Holiday planning revolves greatly around accommodation. Whether you’re looking to book something cheap and practical or whether comfort and a good aesthetic environment are on the top of your priority list, accommodation is a must for when spending a few days away from home.

Whitworth Locke, is a design project located in Manchester which set out to transform old export mills into sleek and sophisticated studios to serve the purpose of apartments or hotel rooms.

There are 160 rooms in this hotel project all of which have an exquisite artistic design, with a pastel colour palette that guarantees relaxation and easy going vibes.

Most of the suites are exceptionally spacious, feeling more like your own contemporary apartment in the city than a traditional hotel room.

What adds more to the aesthetic design are the Victorian period features which have not been concealed, but rather, they have been accentuated. These add a historic touch to a modern design, creating a powerful contrast.

Another aspect of the building that is quite interesting and contributes to Manchester’s social movement is that it offers a community hub to the public. What’s on offer includes movie screenings, yoga classes as well as brewing up fresh coffee at Foundation, the cafe located within Whitworth Locke.
