Have you ever over slept or found it a complete struggle to peel yourself out of bed in the morning? Then you actually might be more intelligent than those who are always up and out in the morning without any trouble.
A study by Elsevier has revealed those who are in control of when they go to sleep and wake up, pressing the snooze button multiple times included, is a sign of higher intelligence.
The study titled; “Why Night Owls Are More Intelligent” was first published in 2009 and has been unearthed to reassure those who find it a struggle to get out of bed in the morning.
The scientific report is supported by a similar study undertaken by the University of Southampton, which monitored sleeping patterns of 1,229 people.
The study revealed that those ignoring their alarm, embracing what your body needs, actually means you are more likely to follow your dreams and tackle your problems by yourself, whilst also exhibiting higher intelligence.
To get even more specific, those who went to bed after 11pm and got up after 8am earned more money and enjoyed a happier lifestyle.
So, worry no more when you hit snooze button for the third time in the morning, you are in fact more intelligent and liker to succeed in life than those who are up and ready to start the day on time.
