If you prefer savoury over sweet then you might want to pop into your local supermarket to pick up a Cheesealicious Cheese Easter Egg.
Available from April 10, the cheesy surprise makes a genius alternative to chocolate and certainly looks pretty eye-catching.
Made from 120g of creamy cheddar and using the finest milk from Lancashire farms, the egg is created from Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses.
It also happens to contains a packet of oatcakes and one sachet of chutney so you’re in for a real treat this bank holiday.
Whether you simply don’t like chocolate or are interested in trying something new, no one will miss out on indulging over the Easter break with this brilliant idea.
It’s not quite the first time the idea has been introduced in supermarkets, however.
In 2018, ASDA brought out Blacksticks Cheester Egg which was a similar concept but instead featured Blacksticks Blue Cheese and the internet naturally went pretty crazy.
This time round, Sainsbury’s will be hoping for a similar reaction.
Emma Garvey, Cheese Buyer for Sainsbury’s, said: “We’re always looking for new and unique products to offer to our customers, especially during gifting periods throughout the year when people are on the lookout for something special to give their loved ones.
“The Cheesealicious Easter Egg seemed like an obvious and exciting choice to expand our Easter egg offering and cater to cheese aficionados nationwide. The egg is truly delicious and we can’t wait to see the response from our customers.”
If can’t wait, keep an eye online and in-store to get your hands on one…
Cheesealicious Cheese Easter Egg will arrive in Sainsbury’s on April 10.
