The social network are set to release a limited number of the Spectacles 3, their third generation of augmented reality sunglasses, which they hope will help bring a new dimension to their popular video and picture sharing platform.
The new sunglasses include a host of new features, all designed to help the popular social network compete with the likes of Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
The glasses marquee new feature is two impressive HD cameras positioned on either side of the front of the glasses, which are designed to capture depth in images and video.
Snap have also built a suite of new 3D effects that take advantage of the device’s new depth perception ability, which are exclusive to the glasses.
The photos and videos will wirelessly sync to your phone, where you can reimagine those moments with a suit of 3D effects on the Snapchat application.
The battery life has been improved from the previous Snap glassware range and with 4GB of storage you’ll be able to hold up to 100 videos or 1,200 photos.
The specs are charged using the included charging case.
The Spectacles 3 come in either a dark, black carbon colour or a snappy, stylish golden shade. They also include a full-grain, micro-fiber leather case, which will safely store your glasses and fold flat when not needed.
The sunglasses will be available from November 2019.
