It’s official: doggy dates are on the rise and the concept’s about to get even better thanks to this new cafe opening in Liverpool.
If it’s not dog afternoon tea taking off, then why not enjoy a spot of tea with your canine friend in a Pets Corner store?
The retail chain isn’t just all about bringing you natural pet food, in recent times it’s been branching out to pet experiences.
The brand most recently opened up dog spas called Dogwood across the nation, and this latest cafe venture is set to build upon the experience.
Based on Allerton Road in Liverpool, this particular Pets Corner branch will not only offer pet grooming, but a slice of coffee and cake too.
Visitors will be able to enjoy a piece of cake and tea or a cup of coffee in the cafe, and their dogs also get a treat too.
Owner Elaine Saleh has several dogs treats available including woofcakes, doggieclairs and dog tarts.
She told the Liverpool Echo:
“We just had so many lovely customers and I thought, wouldn’t it be great if they could come here for everything, not just for pet food.
“The shop is now more unique, because I don’t know anywhere in Liverpool where you can go in and buy your pet food, get your dog groomed, and then stay for coffee and a cake.
“We are a very friendly, neighbourhood cafe and it’s a great environment when everyone chats with each other and the dogs can play.”
Don’t despair if you can’t make it to Liverpool, however, as there’s also plenty of other dog cafes cropping up in recent times to choose from…
